Tri-State Clearing and Tree Service owns thousands of timber mats. Matting is specified by many states to prevent damage to waterways, agriculture fields and wooded areas. The purpose is simply to restore land to its original state after a construction project completion.

There are several types of mats. There are timber, plastic, and concrete matting products. We have experience with all types of mats. Our company uses primarily timber mats because we work year-round, and timber mats are safer in cold wet weather.

Many states have endangered animal protection plans. In recent years we have worked closely with state regulators and environmental consultants on bat habitat protection plans, as an example. Our employees have considerable experience with animal protection programs.

All construction projects require post construction land restoration. Tri-State Clearing and Tree Service offer plantings of trees, bushes, and plants as a step to restoring land to an original state. Our staff works closely with the General Contractor, Town Planning Boards and State Environmental departments on creating a mutually acceptable land restoration plan. We have a certified arborist on staff to work with all necessary parties on land restoration projects.

Strict state environmental regulations exist throughout the United States. Tri-State Clearing and Tree Service has a great history of meeting and or exceeding the project environmental requirements. Recently, our employees were certified in a SWPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) training class.

In New York State a State pollution Discharge Elimination Discharge (SPEDES) permit exists covering construction activities. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation conducts a 4-hour Erosion and Sediment Control Training program. Our team holds this certification.
