SAFETY

Safety in land clearing and tree service is of utmost importance every day. Every project Tri-State undertakes contains different terrain conditions and other unique characteristics. Each morning starts off with a tail gate session and a review of the scheduled day’s work.
There is an annual employee safety training day held in December. At this meeting, a safety incentive awards, new safety PPE and recent performance results are presented.

Key safety topics discussed regularly are:

• Chain saw operation procedure
• Tree climbing and roping methods
• Road job warning signage regulations
• Equipment maintenance policies
• Safe distance (tree drop zone) precautions.
